About PITAM
Prathyusha Institute Of Technology And Management, Chennai popularly known as PITAM is the brain child of the well known industrialist and philanthropist Shri. P. Raja Rao, the founder Chairman of the Governing Board of the College. PITAM is a self-financed Telugu Minority Institution approved by AICTE, affiliated to Anna University, accredited by NBA and a recipient of ISO certification. The college offers 7 UG courses and 7 PG Courses with an annual intake of 1068 students.
Mechanical Department students of PITAM did many creditable achievements in Design, Research and etc. during the academic year 2013-2014. Some of which we mentioned here.
ECO-KART DESIGN AND FABRICATION
The innovative project titled “Eco-Kart Design and Fabrication” developed by Mr. N.Vinod Kumar, Mr. Parvez Hussain, Mr. K.Vishnu Raj and the team of IV year Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering students was awarded the Best Innovative project by Gautama Buddha University, Greater Noida, New Delhi
LAUNCHING OF TVS - HARITA RESEARCH CENTRE
The successful visit of Top Brain officials from Harita Techserv Ltd., Chennai, to PITAM has culminated in the launching of a Composite Research Centre in New Product Development and Digital Manufacturing Technologies
SAE
121 students from the Mechanical Engineering Department of PITAM have registered as members in the Society of Automotive Engineers India for the year 2013 -2014. SAE India Southern Section organised COLT 2014 (Club Officers Leadership Training) a two day residential program for SAE India Collegiate club office bearers at Sri Krishna College of Engineering & Technology, Coimbatore on 1.3.14 and 2.3.14. Only one student per Collegiate Club is eligible for this membership and Mr. V.Padmanaban of IV B.E. Mechanical Engineering was selected for this membership.
Ephemerides14 is the National Level Technical Symposium organizing by PITAM'S - Mechanical Engineering Students on 22.08.2014 at Prathyusha Institute of Technology and Management, Tiruvallur.
